Release 2.47 – Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019

Release Date:  October 23rd, 2019

Happy Halloween Everyone! Just wishing all of you a fun and Spooktacular Halloween this year filled with a bag full of yummy treats for the little ones. Well, we have another release to share. We continue to focus on providing simplicity and developing changes that will create positive impacts. As always, we hope that you like the items we are releasing. Your feedback is really valuable, kindly share it with our team at any time, you can also send us an email at products@easyclocking.com. Until next time!

Enhancements/Add-ons:

  1. Settings – New “Pay Setting” option: Ability to prevent employees from checking “Show Original Time” option:  We received feedback regarding employee privileges. One of these privileges is to be able to check the option to “Show Original Time”. Enabling this option was causing confusion to the employee about the total hours they were being paid. This should be a company setting or rule to allow employees to see this information. We have added this setting as part of the “Pay Settings” in the software. Now you can decide whether or not your employees can view their original time.
  2. New API Endpoint- “Time-card Status Endpoint”: We have created a new API endpoint that will provide time-card approval details, included in these details will be the current timecard “Status”, “Who” approved the timecard and “When” it was approved.

Fixed Errors/Bugs:

  1. Data Collection – “Import Tool” error: Tool would not allow the ability to upload departments that contain hyphens as department codes: The EasyClocking software allows the ability to create departments with hyphens as department codes. However, our import tool would not allow you to import departments or employees with hyphens. The error has been corrected and now it accepts the information as it should.
  2. Lunches/Breaks – “Lapse-Breaks” error: “Lapse Breaks” automatic “payment”, was double paying the breaks when the lunch was deducted automatically: When setting up a “Lapse Break” with the ability to “Pay” and also to “Deduct” automatically, if the employee did not clock in/out or selected the break throughout the day, the software would “double pay” for that break configured after the automatic deduction was completed. This error would only occur in the timecard as the reports were providing accurate information.
  3. Lunches/Breaks – “Lapse Breaks” time-card paid totals do not display correctly when they are automatically paid: When setting up a “Lapse Break” with the ability to “Pay” and also to “Deduct” automatically, if the employee did not clock in/out or selects the break throughout the day, the software would “double pay” for the break configured and will also show the incorrect paid or deducted amount correctly. This error would only occur in the timecard as the reports were providing accurate information.
  4. Settings – “Readers” settings: Default USB scanner option will now default to “EasyClocking Xenio”: Previously, this setting would default to the selection called “EasyClocking Depricated”. We no longer support “EasyClocking Depricated” or “Digital Persona” scanners. We have removed these two options and left ‘EasyClocknig” and “EasyClocking Xenio”.
  5. Settings – “Readers” settings: card reader option will now default to “Hexadecimal”: Previously, this setting would default to the selection called “Decimal”. Now it will default for first-time users to “Hexadecimal”.
  1. Australia Engine – “TimeCard Status History” report: Dates were displaying in USA format when it should be dd/mm/yyyy: Whenever the “Australia” country is selected in the software as the selected country, the format switches all around the software to be dd/mm/yyyy. The TimeCard Status History report is a new report that was not displaying the correct format for our partners in Australia. This error has been fixed and now the report shows the correct format.
  2. Report – “Actual vs Schedule Summary” report: Employees were being sorted backward: When this report was generated it would sort the employee id’s in “descending order” when it should have sorted them out by “ascending order”. The issue has been resolved and now it is sorting the correct way.
